The Cooperstown Pumpkin Fest provides a weekend of family fun. On Saturday,pumpkin growers form across the Northeast "weigh-in" with their mighty pumpkins in a contest to see who grew the biggest pumpkin, in Doubleday Field Parking lot. On Sunday, the pumpkins are hollowed out and "set sail" on Otsego Lake, from Lakefront Park, in the annual Pumpkin Regatta.
